Point Loma Sports Club

HISTORICAL FICTION ENTRY

Point Loma Sports Club used to be a pool for recruits to train in. If I was a recruit I would be so tired in the morning having to wake up at 5:00 am and train in cold water but still I would be excited to be a recruit!  I can imagine the recruits taking off their pants in the pool to use them for floating. They took them off, blew air in them, and tied the pant legs together. This way the pants were like a boat. They also had to learn how to rescue people from the water. This is what recruits did a long time ago.

COMMUNITY CONNECTION

Point Loma Sports Club helps the community by exercising in their cross-fit and yoga room. You can go there to exercise your body.  That way they can  be healthy and strong. People can dance and have fun to be healthy and strong. In the exercise room, there are punching bags and you can go there if you like to work out and be strong and healthy.

INTERVIEW (present day worker)

We interviewed Mr. Willie and Mr.Couron. Willie and Couron teach exercise and yoga classes. They are personal trainers they help people exercise so they can be strong, healthy and lose weight they teach people yoga classes so people could relax. Or if people is frustrated they could go to Point Loma Sports Club. Can you imagine people working out and doing yoga? Right now I'm imagining strong and healthy people working out and doing yoga at Point Loma Sports Club. If you go to Point Loma Sports Club you might see Mr.Willie and Mr.Couron.

KID CONNECTION

Point Loma Sports Club is a great place to get your bones and muscles stronger. Parents and kids can go there to do sports, hang, swing, and yoga. They should meet Mr. Willie and Mr. Couron. They are fabulous and teach a lot. They also are very smart and fun. I love Point Loma Sports Club because it is very fun and it’s making my bones and muscles stronger. I went on an obstacle course. I got a black wheel and got to push it like a lawn mower. Then I mowed it back and ran on the blue big bouncy balls and jumped in and out on a ladder on the ground. There were a bunch of cones on the ground made like 2 squares. I touched them all and sat down to rest. My heart and muscles and bones are stronger and my heart is pumping fast!
