HISTORICAL FICTION ENTRY
Pigtail and Crewcuts didn’t always used be a place for haircuts. During the time of NTC, it was a barracks. A barracks is a place for the sailors to relax and sleep. I think the sailors were woken up at 5:00 am in the morning. I think they were woken up with a laud trombone. If I was woken up that early I would be so sleepy. I think the sailors would have to make their beds after sleeping. It is possible that they had to fold their blankets too. I’m sure one of their favorite places in NTC was the barracks where they could finally rest and sleep after a long day of learning and marching.

COMMUNITY CONNECTION
Pigtails and Crewcuts serves are community in many ways! Workers from Pigtails and Crewcuts go to a school for homeless kids and cut all the student’s hairs for FREE!!! Another way Pigtails and Crewcuts serves our community is by giving these donation baskets! In the donation baskets there are gift cards that are worth $75! Pigtails and Crewcuts can also help kids on crazy hair day! They have colored hair gel and make spiky colorful hair on boys, and for girls they have glitter hair gel and can make braids! Pigtails and Crewcuts does so much for our community!

INTERVIEW (present day worker)
We interviewed Miss Andrea who works at Pigtails and Crewcuts. Miss Andrea and the other workers take about 10 minutes per haircut. At Pigtails and Crewcuts you can get your hair cut from 2 months old to 80 years old. I learned that Pigtails and Crewcuts’ busiest day is on Friday and picture days. Miss Andrea and the other workers have a lot of tricks for keeping little kids still. The tricks are they can ask their parents for help and if the kids don't want to sit in a car or airplane then they can sit on their parents’ lap. The parents can tell their kids that if they can sit still they will get an animal cracker or a lollipop. To get them to go, they can say they'll buy them a toy. I’d recommend going to Pigtails and Crewcuts for getting your haircut!

KID CONNECTION
Pigtails and Crewcuts is a great place to go with your family. Boys and girls can get colored hair gel and they also can get sparkling hair gel. Little kids can sit in airplane seats or car seats while they are getting their hair cut and make believe that it is real. Big kids can sit and play X-box while they are getting their hair cut. After they get their hair cut, kids can get lollypops or animal crackers as a treat. There is a party room where people can celebrate birthdays and have fun. It is fun to go to Pigtails and Crewcuts with your family!
